I'm wondering if any traffic will actually come from this ? I really doubt it, but I seen a user bragging about it on DP, so I wanted to take a look for myself.

This contest will be another one of our famous posting contest, but I'm going to remove the "intro forums" from the count. So it's for all forums in the upper section, but the intro forums.

I know it’s been a little while since I updated the blog here, but if you’ve read my blog on the forum Then you may have seen that I’ve had some computer problems. I went out and bought Kapersky, or something like that, anti-virus software. So far I’ve been very impressed with what it’s found and cleaned up. For 80$ it better keep me clean for a year :D.

I’ve been kicking around the idea with the staff about running some contest on the forums. We have a few things and quirks that we could offer. I’ve already implemented the adsense Revenue sharing hack that you may have read about in past entries. I’ve asked in the forum with the other members that visit, what they have done and how well it worked. I think a referral contest, or a threads/post contest would be good. I’ve also considered some type of backlink contest like talkvbulletin did when Mark still owned it.

One of the prizes will be featured spots in the Link directories.. We have two of them and both are a PR5, also in the past its been noted that the links that are featured, have picked up PR in their individual detail pages.. So this would be a great way to get contextual deep links

I have a few scripts and styles that I’m not using which I might give away as well.

Anyways.. it’s late and I need to get some sleep.. Spring Break is next week I wont be going anywhere, but if you are.. Be Safe and save some for me…lol
